Prior to Chatham: Lusi attended Henderson High School. While there, she had a 5K best of 22:42, a best 1600M of 6:12, a best 800M of 2:45 and a best 400M of 1:11. Lusi was also a member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Lusi is the daughter of Joe and Michelle Lusi.
