Department of Athletics Mission Statement
The Department of Athletics seeks to sponsor a competitive, broad-based, fiscally-sound and ethically responsible NCAA DIII athletics program. A successful, well-run athletics program builds pride in and support for the University among the community, among the students, faculty, staff, and alumnae. We guide, encourage and support our student-athletes in their pursuit of comprehensive excellence academically, athletically and socially.
As Chatham Cougars, we pursue our passions, strive to enhance our university's strengths, and emphasize service before self. Above all, we strive to foster long-term community and professional accomplishments by our student-athletes after they graduate.
