Men's Squash Wins Summers Cup

PHILADELPHIA – Chatham Men's Squash (6-7) defeated Bates (6-11) 5-4 to win the Summers Cup in the CSA Divisional Team Championships on Sunday.
  
The fourth-seeded Men's team was victorious for the third consecutive day to claim their title over the third-seeded Bobcats. Abdelrahman Walid Sadek (11-7, 11-7, 11-7) and Alejandro Cruz (11-7, 11-8, 11-8) both swept their matchups for the Cougars. Sebastian Antonio Vaca Sanchez (7-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-6) came back to win his two-seed matchup 3-1. Agustin Carranza (11-4, 11-9, 6-11, 11-9) and Lucas Oliveira (11-1, 8-11, 11-5, 11-7) also claimed 3-1 victories to propel Chatham to their first-ever team trophy in Men's Squash.
 
Sixth-seeded Women's Squash (4-10) fell in the third-place game of their bracket to fifth-seeded Denison (6-6) by a 6-3 scoreline. Vasundhra Vasanthan (11-9, 11-6, 11-7) and Clara Braga (11-2, 11-5, 11-1) both swept their matchups. Isabela Campos won her four-seed matchup 3-1 (14-12, 11-9, 7-11, 11-6). Chatham was down four players in this match.

This concludes the 2024-25 schedule for both teams.
