Men's Squash Earn First Win of the Season While Women get Swept Away

PITTSBURGH, PA - It was a day to remember for the Chatham men's squash team (1-1) as they defeated St. Lawrence (0-1) 7-2 in their first win of the season. As for the women's team (0-2), they were unfortunately swept 9-0 by St. Lawrence (1-0).

The men's team didn't hold back today against the Saints as they secure seven individual match wins. Sebastian Vaca Sanchez secured his win for the Cougars by battling back and reverse sweeping his opponent. Agustin Carranza, Abdelrahman Sadek, Muhammad Hassaan RazaAlejandro CruzBrett Poles, and Keyel Beasley all swept their opponents as well to add to the team's match wins. 

While the women were swept by the Saints, it was a first for Sofia Pinto Combita as she won two games in her individual match to take it to five games. 

The Cougars will be back in action next Friday, November 14th, when they travel to Dickinson for a 6 PM matchup.
