Box Score Canton, NY. – (1/10/2015) – The Chatham University hockey team beat SUNY Canton this afternoon. The Cougars topped the Kangaroos 6-3, in a game that not only saw the teams second hat trick of the season, but also extended the teams win streak to three games, raising their record to 7-6 on the season.

Cassidy Colhoun (Kincordine, ON) found the net twice in the first period, at (05:33) and (17:19), giving Chatham a 2-1 lead going into the second period. First year defender
Kasandra Petersen assisted on the first goal, while junior forward
Marie Soukup assisted on Colhoun's second goal.

The second period would see sophomore forward
Erika Martin (Fairbanks, AK) score her eighth goal of the season at (05:48) assisted by junior forward
Erika Bronk and Colhoun. At (15:11) sophomore defender
Karlee Kaufman (Mars, Pa) scored her first goal of the season, while Petersen netted her second assist of the day on the Kaufman goal.

Colhoun earned her first hat trick of the season, scoring an unassisted goal at (05:11). After back to back SUNY goals made the score 5-3 Chatham, sophomore forward
McKenzie Haskins (Anchorage, AK) put the game away with 12 seconds remaining in regulation time. Junior forward
Katrina Hawkins and first year defender Lyndsey Galloway assisted on the final goal of the game.

Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, ON) gave up three goals after facing 23 shots on the day. The Cougar power play took four shots on four opportunities.

Chatham will return to conference play when they visit Oswego State on Friday January 16, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. The Cougars next game begins a twelve game ECAC-W stretch of play.
